They provide advice and practical support for single parents. Expert advisers on their helpline and a website packed full of useful information.
HARBOUR
Harbour is here to help anyone, including family and friends, affected by the misuse of drugs and alcohol by providing information, education, assessment and care co-ordination.
Jeremiah’s Journey
At Jeremiah’s Journey we are a small team of friendly individuals who work together to provide the best support that we can for our families. For bereaved children and their families, the main part of our service is to run a short term therapeutic group programme. We like to meet with our families initially to ensure that we are able to meet their needs.

NACOA
NACOA (National Association for Children of Alcoholics) addresses the needs of children growing up in families where one or both parents suffer from alcoholism or a similar addictive problem. This includes children of all ages, many of whose problems only become apparent in adulthood.
NAPAC
NAPAC (National Association for People Abused in Childhood), their vision is of a society in which every adult survivor of childhood abuse in the UK is able to access the support they need, when they need it, to make a journey of recovery and heal their emotional and psychological wounds.

Samaritans
Samaritans is a confidential emotional support telephone service that can help if you are feeling depressed or emotionally down and help you through it.
SMART Recovery
Help people recover from addictive behaviour and lead meaningful and satisfying lives. Their approach is secular and science based; using motivational, behavioural and cognitive methods. Who run a network of self help meetings and also partner with care professionals.
UKCP
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a membership organisation, with over 75 training and listing organisations, and over 7,000 individual practitioners. UKCP holds the national register of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors, listing those practitioner members who meet exacting standards and training requirements.
